Data Collection and ADAS Testing

Today’s vehicles are equipped with increasingly sophisticated Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Development of these systems requires the gathering of large amounts of data, using specially outfitted test vehicles. Responding to industry demand for high-quality development data, Pacific Enterprise’s core function is the delivery of data collection and ADAS test projects for clients worldwide.

Our Role

For clients working to strict development budgets and timetables, gathering effective data to support the development of such automotive systems is mission-critical. Pacific Enterprise aims to meet this challenge by managing data collection and ADAS test projects at home in Japan as well as overseas, including wider Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Our European subsidiary, MIRAI DATA B.V. enables us to work across time zones to suit our clients.

We offer the option of integrating hardware and software into test vehicles ourselves. If customers cannot get a vehicle to a test location, we can install test equipment in-country on their behalf. In this way, there are few places in which Pacific Enterprise is unable to deliver a successful test.

Autonomous Vehicle Projects and Heavy Vehicle Solutions

Together with our sister company in Nagoya, FUTU-RE, Pacific Enterprise is helping to research and develop autonomous vehicle systems for future mobility. We want to contribute to making mobility safer and more efficient.

With a specialty in control systems, sensor fusion and vehicle dynamics, along with experience working with public and private clients on projects such as helping improve rural mobility, truck platooning feasibility tests, hardware retrofitting and much more, access to FUTU-RE’s skilled engineers offers Pacific Enterprise an edge on complex projects.

Our group has worked with leading heavy vehicle manufacturers and public/private partners with a view to delivering level 4 autonomy for heavy vehicles in Japan. We are keen to extend these operational skills and knowledge through work with other partners.

Simulation and data engineering

Together with Tohoku University in the north of Japan and on behalf of a major automotive OEM, Pacific Enterprise has helped to facilitate research into the effects of varying driving conditions on car drivers, trough driving simulator-based experiments involving members of the pacific. The scientists and engineers working on these projects are striving to produce vehicle systems that both increase vehicle autonomy and reduce road accidents. Pacific Enterprise is proud to have made a contribution to this goal.
Our other sister in Nagoya, KASUGAI, allows us to further our potential contribution to simulation-based projects. KASUGAI is a group of data engineers boasting expertise in developing systems to handle big data for automotive clients and beyond. Pacific Enterprise and KASUGAI work in harmony to extend our capacity to managing projects for data scientists, helping them better understand and visualize the bast data sets inherent to modern simulations.
